Depending on what zone you re in, you might just be seeing the male blossoms, which appear several weeks before the female blossoms. The female flowers are the ones that produce the fruit. I would say leave the vine alone for now.They grow very quickly at this time of year and you should get at least a few fruits in spite of the bunnies.

Agree, just let them keep growing. Learn to identify the difference in male flowers vs female flowers. The males are only there to polinate the females. They do not result in fruit/veggies. A cantaloupe female looks similar to a watermelon female. You may need to hand polinate the females when you get them. There are lots of instructions on how to do this on gardenweb (use search) and from a google search.

Not all plants have male and female, some are self polinating. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are melons, squash, and cucumbers that have male & female flowers.
