I've seen the same thing on my tomatoes. At first I thought it was fertilizer burn, because I first noticed it after I fed my plants.

Most of the foliage for the next two weeks were affected similarly, and now the new foliage appears unaffected. Some of the leaves (especially near the bottom) turned yellow.

I've removed most of the offending leaves, so I don't really have much to show. The leaves that are still affected have some of the light brown splotches.

When the plants were originally affected, I didn't see any light brown splotches, only yellow splotches that turned into that burnt look.

Anyway, now I think it might be early blight, but I'm still not sure. The plants seem to have "recovered" and are still putting off foliage and flowers.
