So I have 2 four foot by four foot boxes, and in one of them lives 6 cucumber plants. The little stick thingy at the nursery (local grown) said American Cucumber. The lady said they were regular cukes and I brought them home and they have been doing lovely.

I had cukes growing on every plant.. but instead of becoming long and green.. they are baseball shaped and yellowing.

What is going on here?? I picked them all off cuz I read that yellowing is a bad sign, and hope that I might be getting better cukes from the next grouping, but I'm not holding out hope at the moment.
