I saw that too, but Reimer has a bad rep and I would rather not suggest anyone order from them. However, if you can find no other vendor, you could take a chance and hope that what you get turns out to be what you wanted.

And below you can purchase ten seeds of Bragger tomato rather than plants. The seeds are $3 and shipping is $3 (see bottom of page).

Thanks for that seed source. It is fun reading the descriptions. I grew Glacier last year and liked it; they said it tastes nasty. It is very funny to me that someone selling a tomato would be so honest with their comments. I am getting catalogs in the mail with brilliant and false illustrations; it is refreshing to see honesty.

I guess the OP is going to have to do some digging to get the Bragger tomato seeds.

She sounds like an interesting person; maybe she has some left that she would part with.

Thanks all. Does anybody know what the deal is with the knuckle? The name I mean. It's like what's called an "abscission layer" in a leaf. It separates or becomes weaker at ripening.

I also had Braggers a few years back and they just up and disappeared? They were a large beefsteak type of tomato with vigorous vines and very disease resistant. I found seeds last year at "Greta's Organic Gardens" in Ottawa Ontario, Canada. She calls the variety "Brag" but from what I have read Brag and Bragger are one and the same? I got one pack which contains 250 seeds for what I'm thinking was about $3.50 plus shipping. Anyway, they are on my seed starting list for 2010 and I'm anxious to see what the end result will be.

Yes she does ship to the US but be patient, the mail service between the US and Canada is very slow.
In fact when I orderewd my seeds they never arrived to this day, I let her know and she sent a new package at no charge and those I got.

So i was gifted a bag full of old seeds by a co-worker who had seeds from his late father. One of the seed packets are in deed Bragger! I didn't know what they were and a quick Google search lead me here. I'm attempting to germinate them in hopes of getting some fresh seed stock. These, aswell as the other hundred different seed packets, are decades old. This one particularly is from 1988!!!!!! I'm crossing my fingers 🤞

How should i soak them? How long? In a bath? Should i do it after germination, right before planting? Or before germination?

I ask because I've always been told NOT to use fertilizers on seeds and seedlings, in fear on burning them.
