Compost Diversity

In my area, I have access to a compost product which is derived by composting leaves with the vegetable and fruit wastes generated from a local supermarket chain. Given the variety of materials present, which probably represents more variety than what I can bring to my own homemade compost, is it reasonable to use this product alone as opposed to the mixing of five or more products from much less diversified organic material sources?
