I put two sweet olive tomato plants in pots on my deck this year. (all other tomatos are in the ground) This weekend in a mater of a day they went from healthy looking to having greyish brown patches on the leaves with withering and very limp leaves.

The only thing I can think of that might have caused this (other than a desiese I'm unawar of that works this fast) it the evening before DS sprayed himself with bug repelent while on the deck. It could have easily drifted to the plants.

Does this seem likely?

Should I just pull the plants and start over in the same pots/soil (new potting mix this year)?

Or should I dump the whole works, scrub the pots and use fresh soil before starting over?

It's not too late if I get larger seedlings from the nursery. I don't have any other small tomatos planted this year, And I'll miss my bite size snackers, if I don't grow something.
