Is light in any way needed for tomato seeds to germinate? How about bell peppers. I know some seeds like tobacco do. Just had bad luck starting a very few seeds. They were in potting mix. Am trying again with pure peat moss in a starter tray with clear cover. Heat pad under neath. Pretty sure I did not over heat them.
