Help with tomatoe stem problem

Hi, I'm really new at this - I have 5 better boy plants, 2 are doing great, the other three are stunted, leaves curling and something is wrong with the stems - discolored, knotted. Can someone help me identify the problem. I have just returned from local nursery and they are not sure - might be "gall". If it is, what do I do?
