Read an article the other day about pruning and making nice sized plants out of the ordeal. It suggested air layering those plants needing pruning that you can use. It gives you plants of a larger size as in the case of tree branches and that's what I need to prune. I have a red Japanese maple that's overgrowing the entrance to the house and also up onto the roof. Ought to get several nice sized, 4-5' plants if successful.

Any thoughts, suggestions to aid this project?
