Ok, I slipped up and mentinoed BER. Sorry. Didn't realize it was such a touchy subject. That is 'cause I am new to the tomato site.

All I really want to know is your experience with using Calcium Nitrate as a base and top dress fertilizer... specially if you had BER and corrected BER with Calcium Nitrate.
The formula of soil I put together never results in BER for my tomatoes, so I want to know if Calciunm Nitrate corrected BER for anyone that had it. If so, I could modify the rest of my formula and delete my BER preventing components.
A commerical grower I am working with insists on Calcium Nitrate as a base and top dress fertilizer, so I am sifting to that source of Nitrogen and want to know any personal experiences in home gardens with Calcium Nitrate. I am speaking about in soil not hydroponics or foliar sprays.
