Well, i'm lucky (somewhat) in the fact that I have an apartment porch container garden. A few plants got a bit more wet than I wanted them too, but I imagine with today, they are drying out quite well. :)

Our garden is wet still, and of course now needs weeding. Will have to replant alot, whenever. But the flower beds are dry enough to dig. Have you heard about more rain coming our way most of the week? I hope they are WRONG!

Lots of fun digging out 500 Maple seedlings, huh? ;-) My father-in-law is going through that right now.

Oh yes, Maple seedlings everywhere! And if you miss one, in just a few days it will be a foot tall.

Hey got out in my garden today with the tiller. Was so wet I could only let it scratch the surface. Sure wiped out a lot of grass, or maybe just transplanted.

Those maple seedlings are amazing. I've been in Tennessee for three years now, and we have not seen anything like this since moving here.

I'm not digging them up as I assume just mowing through them will kill it.

So do maples have occasional "seedling boom" years?

Our yard is sufficiently dried out now... thankfully... I was worried that we were going to get into rot problems with my young trees.

My mower could hardly beat it's way through the grass...getting bogged down over and over, it was slow going. The long rains made me skip a few mowing sessions as the grass kicked into high gear.

Oh my gosh, the maple seedlings! Good grief! We didn't have maples in our other yard.

Between that and the horrid black walnut in the front yard (grrrr), and the oak tree that dropped leaves all winter long...wow, I am realizing I have a lot of trees I find very annoying! :D
