havent found any that dont do well so far. Weve added several over the past couple of seasons too. The only thing that you need to make sure of is that there is enough shade moisture for them. They can stand to be in the sun better than most folks give them credit for, but they do need moisture.

There are a few picky varieties out there -- for instance 'Great Expectations', 'Pandora's Box', and some of the other minis -- but most hostas will do fine around here with relatively little care. As Doug mentioned, just don't let them get too stressed by drought or an imbalance of sun and water. Oh, and if you've got a slug problem like I do, stick with the thick-leaved varieties!
