Depressing!!! Brown spot and thrips :(

Well I just sprayed on malathion. Hardly a new set in a month and we have a short season here..Good thing I doubled up my plants this year...I have never sprayed my plants before and the only pest I have had were big worms which I hand picked or shot off ( BB gun). As I was picking all the ripe and near ripe fruit before I sprayed I see now that I have brown spot as well. The bottoms of my non cherry toms have a sunken brown rotting looking spot on them??

Any quick suggestions would be appreciated but I will try to take the time to do a search and I know there are lots of brown spot posts.

Sounds like BLossom End Rot.

Please read the thread titles below re others with BER and also go to the main tomato forum to the FAQ area at the top anmd read the blurb about BER.

If you have any questions about it please come back ans ask.

A physiological problem, not a disease and it goes away as the plants mature.

Yes it appears BER is the thing I have and it is on early fruits..
I only water my plants real heavy when they start to wilt about every 4-5 days.? Maybe I shuld water less but more often?
I only used fertilizer when I turned the soil over but maybe that was to much? I did get real good growth this year.
