Does the use of hybrid stocks of varieties with VFN resistence impart any resistence (other than root nemartode) onto the grafted plant? The internet sites I have checked talk about the improved vigor of grafted plants but make no specific mention of this question. My impression is that the qualities of the rootstock are not transmitted to the grafted part but I would be interested in any scientific studies (not simple impressions) to confirm that.
