Sweet Potato harvest for 2009

This is my sweet potato harvest for 2009. A total of 21lb 9oz or about one lb per square. I planted 20 squares with one slip per square (SFG style). At $0.52 per slip, I am not sure they are worth the space. They are Georgia Jets and I would be interested in what others have harvested this year, particularly in the northern climates. John

John, that's a pretty good harvest ya got there! I just got through harvesting the planting in one of my containers, and at approximately 5 sqft., got almost 2 lbs/sqft. out of it. I estimate the remaining 2 containers will yield similar results. That would give me possibly 25 lbs. from 15 sqft. I feel that temperature has alot to do with it.
