Everyone needs a fig tree! :-)

Peaches! And if you can find them, dewberries instead of blackberries. My grandmother grew those, and they were larger and sweeter. I wish I could find me some now.

I grow two kinds of plums and two kinds of blackberries.
The plums are Ozark Premiere and Santa Rosa, the Blackberries:
Apache and Apache.
In Memphis, peaches are hard to grow, because of the humidity. They have alot of disease...

I second the fig tree. My mother has one in her yard in Memphis. So easy and huge harvests every year.

Wow, thanks for all the great suggestions. Well, I'm definitely going to have to put in a blackberry (or dewberry) bramble (I already have a great spot in mind) and you all have me convinced on the fig tree. I think I still might try pomegrantes and kiwi also because I love kiwi and pomegrantes are so great for you.
