green tomatoes have black circles covering their bottoms? Any suggestions?

Not the heat, but does sound like blossom end rot, BER, which is a physiological diosorder, not an infection, and goes away with time.

All sorts of stresses can induce it.

I too have this problem on my Roma plants but not on my hillbilly ones...Hopefully this will stop so I can put up ketchup and salsa...will check out the info posted by Carolyn..Thanks...Karen
