Could only see the cuke picture. The plant is short of water -- the telltale evidence is the point of the cucumbers, also the fading and yellow lower leaves.

I grow in PA as well, near Philadelphia. There is a strain for Fusarium Wilt that is very common in PA according to the Agricultural Extension Office at Penn State. I had my plant tissue tested to confirm that this disease is indeed what was dooming my plants each year. I'm not saying you have it, but if your plants start to yellow from the bottom and that yellowing moves fairly quickly up one side of the plant when the weather turns hot, eventually spreading to the rest of the plant, and ultimately killing it, then that is probably your culprit. I grew all my tomatoes in large pots this year with store bought soil and compost and my plants have done beautifully. This strain of FW also attacks cucumbers. I hope this helps.
