Last year I decided to try bonemeal in my potting soil to pot up my tomatoes and peppers. About a week after putting them in the cold frame to harden off, I noticed maggots (tons of them) in my potting medium. They didn't seem to be hurting my plants much, but they were going after the bonemeal like crazy. Stunk to high heaven as well. I didn't use much, but I did sprinkle a little on the top and watered it in after I set them out for good measure. Has anyone ever had this problem and if so is there a way to prevent it or should I just stop using bonemeal all together? I had to repot all my baby plants and I don't want to go through that again!...Thanks .....Lisa
