Some of the things it means are these:
1. You should add *lots* of compost to your garden -- at least 4 inches each season. Doing so helps the beneficial organisms multiply, thus limiting to some degree the plant-damaging nematodes.
2. If you intend to grow more tomatoes in that same location, you should look for those which tolerate nematodes. They'll have a capital N after their name.
3. You will also have problems with a number of other plants you try to grow in the same area.
4. In general, you'll have more success if you plant sturdy transplants than if you seed directly into the garden.
5. Don't move plants from that area into other parts of your garden because you will also spread the nematodes.
