I was wondering if anybody had used coconut matting like that used in hanging baskets as filler in a topiary frame. I was considering it to cover larger areas perhaps filled with soil-less potting soil and vermiculite and some sphagnum moss around the outside. My main concern was the ability of of roots to grow through the matting.
