I think you still have time to get some cucumbers from seed. I think I need to start more cucumbers too since bacterial wilt might be coming into the picture. Darn cucumber beetles!

Agree, should be fine,will grow faster since the ground is so warm. May need to water often if you do not get a good rain during the weeks ahead.

Assumed you are going to plant the seeds in the ground in a row. Should take less than a week to come up. Not sure what happen last year. A few years ago out of 30 tomatoes I had growing, one that was beautiful, 8ft tall, not one tomato.

May be too much nitrogen which makes lots of foliage and fewer blooms?

I got 100+, if not more open blooms, but never a single one turned into a cuke. :-\

Do you trellis them or let them run on the ground? I've picked over 30 so far this season with my trellised cucumbers. I think getting them off the ground helps.

They were done neither way. 4 plants in 18 inch 20 gallon container. I think that was the problem, maybe...they were too bunched together. Know anyone who has some extra plants? =) I don't think i'll be able to buy some anytime soon.

You may have a shortage of bees. The male and female flowers have to be open at the same time and the pollen has to get from one to the other. It's your basic birds and bees stuff. You may have to do the work yourself with a small paintbrush.
