Yep. That's it. And while they are mostly harmless, they will chew into cardboard boxes and papers if they are damp enough. Pretty much any household pesticide should take care of them.

they are creepy. my girlfriend wont go anywhere near them.

I hate to see folks use chemical pesticides in their home, and luckily you have some options for these critters. They ARE kinda creepy, aren't they?

Both boric acid and horticultural grade diatomaceous earth can be very helpful in controlling camel crickets. Boric acid powder can be purchased in the form of 'Roach Pruf' at any big box store, and the DE should be available in the gardening section, too.

But I suggest that you address the problem of keeping them from getting inside in the first place. Caulk may become your best friend!
