Medo - I don't have a good location for a GH. I will, however....build some hoop covers for the large box, and possibly a cold frame as well. My next big project will be a small shed, for putting all of my stuff in - probably 8x8x8.........

Or move to a climate where you can actually grow 12 months a year. Just a suggestion. I'm sure you're happy where you are.

The good news is that the freezing ground will kill all the old bugs and eggs (hopefully). I don't think our ground gets cold enough to do that, dang it.

carolyn - I think a few good freezes will diminish the insect population a little bit. I'll still have tons of squashbugs though, I bet.

You know....I've been thinking about the weather patterns this year, and our warm weather was actually shortened by about a month or so....I wonder if the same will be true in 2009? Who knows, spring planting time may be here at the first of April in 2009....If it does, it's gonna mess up my next planting for sure.....bummer.
