I grew out an Iranian tomato called Goji Faranji--it makes huge ribbed beefsteaks, some with more or less ribbing; if you picked them a bit early and let them ripen on the counter they were very good, but if you let them ripen entirely on the vine, then they were nirvana--absolutely one of the best tomatoes I've ever tasted.

Hi teresa_b

If you are just looking for unusual appearance, Purple Calabash is rather unique. In my Idaho garden they really were purple. I didn't think they were particularly outstanding in flavor, but more of an OK tomato (but better than store bought.) They were pretty to cook with, made an interesting sauce, and looked good in a salad or as a last minute addition to cassoulet.

Another one with pronounced ribbing is Tlacalula Pink, I have not grown it, so can't tell you anymore about it other than it is really ribbed.

I hope that helps.
