Thunbergia Mysorensis care?

Hi guys!

Does anybody have some experience with the Thunbergia Mysorensis vine? I want to get one for my garden but I am clueless as to its needs here in CA.

Also an important question: would it grow ok from a pot up the trellis? The most sunny spot I have is on the stone patio...Could also train it up a palm tree but it wouldn't get as much sun...dilemma!
