Wow! What a beautiful yard. You have done an amazing job.

Wow I hope you have a lot of help. That is an amazing amount of stuff going on. I love the lizards. One of the things I miss most about not living in Hawaii is the lizards everythwere. Geckos on the house, anoles on the fences and skinks in the lawn. Not to mention the doves, finches and minas flying everwhere.
I had a lot the plants you have. I had quite a few kinds of gingers and heliconias. I also had a water lily pond with a waterfall and I made fresh flower arangements every couple of days, but my orchid and bromiliad collection was nothing like yours.
I live in California now and while it is nice, the dryness just does not allow for the abundance of life that you get in the tropics. I can grow a lot of the same plants, bananas, palms, bouganvillia, Ti, hibiscus, brugmansia, some gingers but there is just not the lushness that tropical rain brings. My compensation is that I have hummming birds in my courtyard every day, cameleas in the winter and a spectacular display of spring flowers each year
