I bought and planted a Golden plum tree I bought locally. I live approx. 100 miles from the Canadian border. Is it feasible to keep this tree healthy over the winters here? If so, I will build a small 10 � 12 ft. greenhouse, vent it and heat it with an electric fan heater. How would I keep the roots warm? The scientific name for this plum is Spondias Purpurea. It originates from the tropical regions of the Americas.
