After doing a search on old posts, it sounds like plenty of folks here have experience with growing Tetrapanax. My plant got through the winter with no problems & there are tons of pups popping up.

When is the right time to separate them from the mother plant? Should I wait til they get a bit taller? Currently, the plants have 2 or 3 leaves and are perhaps 6 inches tall.
