It looks like pumpkins I've seen labeled "Fairy Tale" pumpkins. They look like the one's that Cinderella's coach was made out of, at least in the Disney version.

There's an heirloom variety called 'Rouge Vif D'Etampes' that looks like that. French, obviously. Euro folk tend to like their punkins more ribbed than we do, but then, they don't carve 'em for Halloween, where a smoother surface is easier to cut precisely.
