Yeah, I'm in zone 8a, but we had lots of freezes this year, and some unseasonable April freezes. My EE's were in medium-sized containers, with full-sky northern exposure. In containers, I would say the roots were exposed to the equivalent of a zone 7, or possibly zone 6 winter, given that there was minimal temperature moderation by surrounding soil.

My EE's are growing like mad right now!
