so any pictures of the Vesuvius? I too adore Heuchera's. I have Lime Rickey (discovered at Stanley's nursery in south Knoxville) and Amber Waves which I also found as a youngling, and I planted them together. Pewter Palace, Green Spice, I don't have Purple palace as it's easy to get. I go for the different. I have discovered that the Heucherella's like Stoplight and Stopsign are more difficult to grow. Maybe it's because they're crosses of Heuchera's and Tiarella's, but I've lost both of them as bare root plants. It's made me rethink purchases from Roots&Rhizomes..........

Mad, I have had the opposite experience. I have better luck with Heucherellas and Tiarellas than with Heucheras. Only the Heucheras I've planted in containers or raised beds have survived more than a year.

Check out this absolutely beautiful thing! I'm going to have to trust Allen Armitage and try again.

I had never paid much attention to Heucheras until I saw a Purple Palace at Lowes this spring. Really caught my eye. Brought it home and it did extremely well in a big container. Bloomed nicely. Now I'm hooked.
I'll be planting more this spring.
