Hi and welcome to upstate ny. I am in Utica area - zone 4b. There are lots of zone 3-4. things. I think there was a thread on this before. Just off the top of my head... lilly of the valley, day lilies. foxglove. lupine, hosta, false indigo,some ferns, columbine, iris, peonies, daisy. oh...the list keeps going on. There are hundreds of differnt plants in miss kimmies garden. She keeps adding new plants as she drives around and notices what other gardeners are planting. Good luck - Kim

I grew up in Philly, just outside of Watertown. Go out to Rhodes greenhouse on Route 3 towards Sackets Harbor. They have a terrific staff who can help you decide what to plant. Also, drive around as miss kimmie suggests and see what is blooming in other people's yards. You don't say what you want to grow: trees, shrubs, perennials, herbs, bulbs, etc. Good luck and enjoy your stay in the North Country.
