Reviving Tomatoes

Help I purchased my tomatoes from our local college hort. department in mid March. I put them in 1 gal pots until I had the winter garden cleared out. Perhaps they got too hot, too dry, out grew their pots?? Anyway they are tall, spindly, not lush enough and already setting fruit. I finally planted them deeply into heavily amended soil. A week or more has gone by and they look a little better but not great. I can't find the heirlooms varieties elsewhere to replace/replant. Should I cut off the existing blooms & fruit? Is there anything I can spray or feed them with to give them a boost? I would really like to save them. Thanks
