Hi.

I am no lawn expert (my dad has a degree in horticulture and just tells me what to do) but you might try a spray broad-leaf weed killer before it gets too warm. Broad-leaf weed killers are just like what they sound like, so avoid spraying it on or near your flowers, shrubs, trees, etc.

Also, you must do it when it is cool and not windy because in the summer heat or in the wind the poison can evaporate and kill other plants and trees at some distance.

It needs to be sprayed directly on the leaves of the plants. I usually do it in the fall but it should be fine to do it now as well.

Of course, aerating and a regular weed and feed would be great too.... but it seems like most of the weed and feeds suppress weeds rather than kill the established ones.

I cant remember the names of types of broad-leaf weed killer right now (I shared what my dad purchased... and used his sprayer too) but you live within a few blocks of both an IFA and a Home Depot and there will be lots of folks who can show you the right products.
