LOL! I am the same way. It is agapanthus. I have a dark blue also. But it froze so bad this winter, that I think it won't bloom this year.

Nice pictures, love the little cardinal. Glad he made it. So many pretty flowers always blooming in your yard. I used to think we couldn't really grow flowers around here, but you and Ragna have shown the way.

That's it! Agapanthus! I have one that I bought and planted last fall but have no idea of the color. I was surprised that mine survived our winter, but it sure looks healthy now.

I wonder if the band Jethro Tull chose that name because of the agriculturalist?

PJ.....I took this picture in July 08. You can't tell how dark the color really is.
The name has to do with weather...storm, thunder or something like that. Much darker than the first pic.

Wikipedia states:
Agapanthus is commonly known as "Lily of the Nile".

That's what they call in in CA. It's a common,evergreen street planting in the costal part of the state. I was surprised to see it being sold in Burleson.
