Does it have a name other than 'Verbena'? I've tried a few different kinds, and the only one that has been reliably perennial for me is Homestead Purple.

Not unlike the "perennial" tag I consistently see on purple fountain grass..... not in MY garden. I agree with suja... only verbena that persisted for me was Homestead Purple. And yes, I once picked up a potter flower at one of those big boxes and all the tag said was "perennial." I asked what it was and the peson said it's a perennial, lol. Good luck with your verbena!

The nurseries label them "perennials" because IF it was in the correct zone ... it is a perennial and will continue to come back year after year ... unfortunately they don't designate "tender perennial" for those that are not cold hardy.
