I haven't grown (or eaten) it, but have it on my list for consideration. Apparently it's a sweet, mild-flavored type.

Some places call it "Tlacolula Ribbed." At least one names it simply "Tlacolula." And there are a few spellings of "TlacAlula."

It's sold by Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds (rareseeds.com), TomatoFest (www.tomatofest.com), Solana Seeds (solanaseeds.net), and Amishland Heirloom Seeds (amishlandseeds.com), among others. You should be able to find brief blurbs at their sites.

Cornell has info at the link below, and it's also at Dave's in the tomato cultivar database (under two names), but not much help there.

Zapotec and Pink Accordian are similar cultivars, but larger.

HEre's a few comments from SSE folks who list it in the SSE Yearbook and it wouldn't surprise me if their comments are somewhat different than those who sell seeds. ( Smile)

From British Columbia; indet, RL deeply ribbed, large pear shape, seeds from Baker Creek; no mention of taste

From KY; 3-6 oz, thickly pleated with skinny green shoulders, prone to cracking, very seedy and strongly acidic, seeds from Baker Creek

From WI; pear shaped with deep ribs and ruffles, mild sweet pink flesh with gold splotched shoulders, seeds from Baker Creek
