Starting seeds

Hi, everyone!

I'm trying to plan my gardening activities this spring and think I should start my tomato seeds this week or weekend. Is anyone else planning on this, or am I early?

Also, anyone able to explain what it means on the TAMU extension site about "spring planting relative to frost-free date." For broccoli it says 8 weeks before...does this mean I can put broccoli in the ground now even though its cold, or start the seeds indoors to put in the ground in 8 weeks.

Thank you!
