I got an order about 3 weeks ago from Wilson's Worms, Norris Montana. They were all healthy and lively. Penny was great to work with. There is a Youtube video that shows worms from different suppliers. Sorry don't have that link.

I would look for a company that sold them by their latin name. Also with some information about the material they are sold in and how they are packaged. I would want clear information about what to expect for poundage of worms and poundage of packing material. I could even deal with it if they said a pound of worms will lose weight and weigh XX by the time you receive them. Maybe best would be from a friend who is sharing them with you because they will also share information on how to care for them and be there for those emergency calls. I have free worms my spouce and son collected from my compost heap twice since I killed the first seven worms that volunteered to work for me. The second group have a good benefits plans so tend to stay. Whatever you choose divide them into two bins. When they multiply share the bounty with friends.

Please weigh them when you get them (postage scale?) and let us know how this all worked out for you. The worms should smell nice and look lively after adding water aged for 24 hours.

My shipment was 2 lbs. 4 oz. My worm order was for 1 lb. Small priority mail box, two paper bags, and packing. My first foray into vermicomposting and after 4 weeks the worms are growing and doing great.
