The beauty of this worm thing is that they create amasing soil by just feeding vegetable matter that would otherwise end up in a landfill.
You don't have to go out looking for anything else to add, your wormies will be very happy and productive.

Sandra, I used to dig my red wiggler fishing worms in the aged manure below our chicken coop. I would not add fresh manure, but aged or composted chicken manure should be fine in small amounts. I don't know what type of bin you have, but easy does it at first, and see how they respond. My outdoor bin gets regular doses of aged horse manure and it makes the worms happy :)

I have a couple of plastic bins located at the side of the house, set up about 3 months ago. I'll give them a little at a time and see how it goes. Hope the poop and manure makes them happy. Thanks guys!
