I'm thinking of taking my "finished" worm compost from inside the house and dumping it into my half finished regular compost outside. The regular compost outside is in a rubbermaid tote, cold composting because it isn't a big enough pile. It has a lid and has been sitting since last year.

My finished worm compost has a lot of worms still in it and I figure they can help finish the outside compost up.

My question is what temperatures I should wait for before incorporating the worms into the outside compost? I don't want them to freeze to death overnight as the temperatures drop.
