I have been using a hanging bag bin for around six months. I did alter the design a bit. There is a layer of plastic stitched inside the fabric. Just in the middle of the "bin" the top and bottom 8" is plastic free. That was to keep it from drying out too quickly. The bin is only 15" thick, 3' wide, 2.5 deep. To fit the Euro rack i built it on.

It worked beautifully. It functions very comparatively to the blue barrel systems. Same extra nice compost. And the same rules apply, having to add water etc.

My only problem was when i built it I used a couple metal rods to hang it from the shelves and the rods bent. They were only half inch rods. I was recently forced to harvest, taking out 10 gallons of compost and it is still bending. So if you build one it needs to be able to take a LOT of weight.

With my bin sagging and wanting to have the bin in the garage. I have decided to move up to the Blue Barrel digester.

I have purchased a blue barrel and am half way through building it. The fabric bag was a great learning experience and I would never go back to a plastic Tupperware type bin. With a flow through there is such a huge difference in the quality of the compost. Nice damp crumbly stuff compared to the black mud cake i got in the plastic bin.
