I got mine in a soft bag and a box with some holes in the box. They moistened the bag and bedding material. Everything was great. Healthy little fellows.

Usually when worms have been shipped to me they have been in a 10x12 cotton bag. Bedding is mostly dry peat moss. They are put into a cardboard box, ant then newspaper is put loosely around the bag to keep it from moving in the box.

Try to ship 3 day or less guaranteed. If its too cold or hot where you are going to deliver them (easy to check with their zipcode on weather.com) put a note on the box to hold at destination post office, This will help to reduce the number of dead or injured worms.

I have bought them off of Ebay. The seller i went through Hill108 (or something close to that) was very good. After about a month I suspected the europeans may have been mixed with redworms. Upon emailing him about it he told me how he keeps them and that they wouldnt have been mixed. However 3 days later i received another lb of europeans at absolutely no cost to me, the suspect ones were put into a compost bin outside. If you do buy off Ebay id recommend this person.

I try to experiment alot, unfortunately in some cases i have alot of losses, between fishing and feeding my turtles and aquarium fish, my biggest bin doesnt really increase in numbers, so i have bought from quite a few sources (worms from different sources are kept in different bins, at the conclusion of my "experiments" the worms are feed to my turtles and fish or put into the compost bin).

It could be a good way to occasionally make some side money. However if your worm populations might be mixed, please state so in the advertising, I really hate surprises ::grins::.

Well, a gardenwebber stuck some leaf meal and worms in a small milk carton, punched some holes in it, wrapped it, and mailed it to me. They all arrived healthy if slightly stirred.

if only i had joined the group in 2005 i would have had some of you. (Spain) i only joined a few days ago. i am reading everything i can at the moment as i am about to do my 1st set up very soon. thus the reason i am reading older post. lol lol
