My husband bought me the Can O' Worms kit from Happy D Ranch. I received it and set it up for the worms' arrival. I soaked the coir the kit came with and then added shredded damp newspaper on top. As directed, I put a handful or so of food in there so it would be ready when the worms arrived.

They got here day before yesterday an wow! 2 lbs. is a lot of worms. They seem to be all over the bin and I'm concerned I might have too many. I've checked to see if they are eating the food I put in there and they're all over it, so I put more in - different spot.

Now I'm wondering if they were eating the food or just hanging out on it because there's so little room. There are worms all over both sets of food even though from what I've read, they shouldn't be interested in the brand new food yet.

Does this make sense? I'd appreciate any insight. I would think Happy D wouldn't send 2 lbs. if the Can O Worms wasn't able to handle it at start up. All the worms are small, too. No big ones so maybe that's why there are so many.
