In my previous home, I tried everything to get rid of ivy - nothing worked except pulling and digging and doing it consistently!

Same as kayjones with me. I had boston Ivy on my house for 21 years, re-stained my house and realized I didn't like the vine. I then spent a week digging it up, and the root system is way too long. in the 21 years it was there, believe it or not, the same summer it grew through my foundation and in the groove of the step in my living room, there was the vine. IT WAS GROWING IN MY HOUSE. So then I just dug up more of it, and realized that it was the same vine that was growing across my lawn and into the woods more than 50 feet away. I guess the best way is to dig up and cut. Maybe use round up or some other form of total vegitation killer, but it may not be gone from the ground my the time growing season starts for you.

I didn't realize it was that invasive!! Growing in the house for goodness sakes!!! Wow!!!

I used to have this stuff in pots and had to give it away when I moved recently, and here you can't kill it, lol. Would I be able to send you a bubble envelope with return postage for some? That's one way to get rid of it, lol.

BTW, I bought somw wonga wonga vine and am anxiously awaiting it. It was an impulse ebay buy and now I'm trying to figure out what the heck I got myself into.... I know nothing about it - anyone here know anything about it?

I got rid of it, a combo of digging up what I can, spray roundup on the freshly cut root of that that was deep in the ground. Repeat procedure as it continues sprouting until all gone. Worked for me!

In the middled of digging, pulling, cutting and cursing, i decided to google how to get rid of ivy. Well it seems that I am doing the only thing I can. The heck of it is it is not even mine. My neighbor grew it and boy is it invasive. Only elbow greese and consistency will get rid of it. Oh well back to work.
