You should be able to grow the hardy kiwis. I have a few planted here and I'm hoping to get fruit this year (like many fruiting plants it takes a couple years for the plants to mature enough to start fruiting).

you'll get better responses in the fruit and orchard forum on this topic, there are a few of us there growing them including a number whose plants are already fruiting. The hardy forms are reportedly sweeter, though smaller than the ones one can get in the grocery stores.

The link refers to Actinidia kolomikta but I grow A. arguta 'Issai' as well. They are both strong and easy to grow.
