Snail Vine Tuber

I think that is the term. When I took the plant out of its container there were a couple as big as small sweet potatoes. The container had been outside when we had heavy rain early this year and then we had a hard freeze so I brought itsinside. It was slow to dry so I emptied it and found some soft rot on some or most of the tubers. I cut it off and repotted in clean soil. But only one has growth. Will the tubers sprout new growth? Yesterday I found one that had just a spot of softness so cut it off and am letting it dry. Thank you for any help.
