I've been raising worms for at least a dozen years. I got into vermiculturing about 5 years ago, stumbled upon this little niche a couple months ago. Love the sight and the info.

I use corrigated cardboard as my primary bedding with a little newspaper mixed in, but I have always had a supply from my work of plain brown carboard scraps.

I just cleaned my basement and have a pile of colored carboard boxes just begging to be shredded.

I've read where it's been discussed about color inks in printing and color in newsprint being OK to use as bedding.

What about dyed carboard? Do they use the same type of inks that are soy based?

Is it alright to use the shiny boxes like shoe boxes or cereal type,as bedding, is it just a clay like in magazines that makes them shiney.

Anyone with experience using these colored boxes, please pipe in.
