I don't think it is enough grease to cause a problem, but I have never fed my worms pizza boxes.

The question may be not if it is healthy for worms to eat pizza boxes but if it is healthy for people to eat pizza. The box for the worms is probably fine even with the bit o grease. Especially if at the time absorbant materials are in short supply and needed due to mellon, squash, tomatoe, cucumber, pumpinkin influx.

No, it's not the healthiest but it sure is good. :) I occasionally make it from scratch but it's not the same. Now store bought bread on the other hand isn't nearly as good and bread from scratch.

I think I'll just keep the pizza boxes to the side for this fall when I get a lot of things from the garden and hopefully have my worm supply up.

I run pizza boxes thru my shredder for the best free bedding available.

If you have a compost pile it would be a great add on be gone in no time say carbon.

I manually shredded it into 2X2 pieces except for the circle of cardboard the pizza rested upon. That I rolled up along the ridges and put into the pail. It is knee deep into the muck but it's top hat is blowing in the breeze. So it is half composting. Pizza box cardboard is not my favorite to compost. Egg cartons are.

I cut the pizza box with the grain into 4-6 inch pieces and run it through. Works great.
